Dear O
I am a woman who is recently separated, and I know my husband and I are going to divorce. However many of the things we had acquired during our marriage were in both of our names. Now he has filed bankruptcy and left me with all this debt, what can i do, i don't want to file bankruptcy but I am drowning in debt. I always had great credit (750) and now I don't even want to look. How or why does this happen? I feel so devastated and overwhelmed with doubt and despair. Any advice you can give would always be appreciated, you always seem like a woman with a good head on her shoulders and you always know what to say or at least help. Any assistance would be appreciated and God bless you Olivia for what you do for some many of us who have very little help or guidance.

Devasted and drowning in Detroit
Dear Stephanie,
If you only knew! I can RELATE TO THIS SITUATION... More than I can speak on, but first and foremost just know its not your fault. You put a trust and heart into a team effort, and intimate relationship. And unfortunately things didn't work out. But many times we as women put all our faith and finances into a relationship that at times leaves up depressed, deflated and BROKE. So I have researched the topic and this is what I found. I hope it helps you and when it all gets too much to deal with , pray and ask God for what you want and thank him as if it has already come to pass. Good luck.
Olivia
